Re: Motivational Message From Laura Dion-Jones
Dear Laura, I appreciate so much each and every message
I receive from you. I've saved them in a special file so
that I can refer back to them. Seeing you and reading
your words have finally inspired me to take the first
steps to a healthier life. I began my journey to better
health on September 30th, when I joined Equinox. I've
been one of the great procrastinators when it has come
to my own health and after a long week of aches, pains
and a bad attitude I've finally made the start that will
turn my life around. I want to recapture the energy I've
lost. I want to be around to see my son become the
fabulous man I know he will be. I want to keep up with
my husband and travel the world when we retire. Please
keep the messages coming. You and they are TRUELY
inspirational and encouraging! Hope to see you soon.

Dear Laura: I'm inspired and motivated by reading the
motivational articles and daily blog that you write.
Some of your questions, sentences, phrases etc. jump
right off of the page at me when I first read them. All
of it is GREAT--some of the sentences touched me
somewhere and left me with a desire to be a part of your
motivational weight loss group. Thank you and keep up
your great work!

Thanks for calling today. I am excited about starting to
do something!!! I'm going to go to bed by 11PM, get up
at 6:30 and meditate--I want to start a routine for
life---I'll know I'll be adding walking everyday, but
don't want to make that agreement today. I forwarded
your website to some of my friends and let them know
that what I'm going to do with you. I know they want to
lose weight too. I am excited envisioning the "new" me!!
I'll keep you posted and will definitely be sharing my
progress with my friends and my seminar!! I told them
you were a weight loss guru!!! YOU ARE!!! and I am sooo
excited about what you have done!!
Best, G

Hi Laura, I am so thrilled with your success! You must
feel like a million bucks. The photo of the "new" you
looks absolutely Fabulous! Sadly I must admit that a
recent annual MD visit has confirmed that my not so
svelte anymore 180lb. frame is contributing to other
health issues at this point in time. I am officially
turning to your motivational wisdom and encouragement to
start turning my unhealthy downward health spiral
around. Please tell me were I can get my hands on one of
your books. I will keep you posted.
Best regards, D

Oh, Laura, what a wonderful message. I have gotten soft,
which you will experience when we pass through Chicago.
You are such an inspiration. The surgery seems easy by
comparison.

This is looking/sounding really great. I think the
length of this piece is a good one. It is succinct and
to the point. For me I don't want to spend too much time
with lengthy emails because I have 30 more to read and
answer at any given time. I think that could be true for
other people too. Also I have difficulty absorbing
things on the screen as well as I would in a book or
magazine or even a web site if I took the time (but that
is probably just me). Just a comment or two from the
peanut gallery. Keep up the great work! You guys rock.

Re: Motivational Message From Laura Dion-Jones
Laura, I did take off the top bun on my hamburger and
threw it away quickly. (Sonic Burger) then put on a big
tomato and cole slaw on top of it instead. (Like I eat
the pulled pork sandwich that is so delicious) I am
going to do that from now on. I only eat 1 piece of
bread on a sandwich when I make it. Just never do when
someone else does. Thanks for the great tip.

You look fabulous! Great tips for the bun! I have gained
so much taking care of my Mom and Dad. Stress and
nothing else to do. I am cutting down as we speak.
Thanks for the great tips as always.

Re: Motivational Message from Laura Dion-Jones
OH MY GOD!!! YOU LOOK ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!!! I just
now saw your emails---I have a new email address and
haven't checked my old one for many, many months and
here you are!! This couldn't have come at a better time
for me!! I am at my all time heaviest and desperately
need to do something. I'm 247 lbs. and am sooooo
uncomfortable!! Where can I get your book "Pound by
Pound"?? I am so excited about what you have done. I was
just thinking of you last weekend!!! I was in Chicago
over the 4th visiting my family and spent Sunday, July
3rd, in the city with my 17 yr. old son and his best
friend and I always think of you when I am downtown!!
I am so excited to hear from you and want to hear
MORE!!! I'm getting out my Atkin's book and checking out
the diet again. I went to Slim 4 Life a couple years ago
and spent lots of money to lose 35 lbs in about 6
months--it was great but then I began gaining it back
and added another 5lbs of course!!! I have to do
something. I have a bad knee—No Surprise carrying this
weight around!! I'm concerned about my ability to walk
everyday. I love walking, and many years ago when I was
much lighter it was a daily routine. I know if I dropped
about 50 lbs, my knee wouldn't be a problem!! I'm going
out of town and won't be home until the 24th. I hope I
hear from you before I leave. I know we will be doing
tons of walking in DC and it's so darn hot there this
time of the year---I'll be drinking plenty of water. I
don't drink anything but water anyway, just not enough!!
I WANT TO READ YOUR BOOK!!! Waiting to hear from you,
Love, G

Oh, Laura, what a lovely photo of you on the top of your
latest motivational message. I’m so glad you put it
there. You are definitely an inspiration. I jumped up
from reading it to go check my morning weight. I saw the
Oprah show where she disavowed the use of the scale.
You’re both right, you know. It’s not about being a
slave to the number, but about making healthy choices. I
am so pleased with the results of my bypass surgery
three years after the fact. My weight has been stable
within 5 pounds for almost a year now. I’m still a
foodie. I always will be I mean I’m constantly thinking
about eating. The other day I had breakfast with a
friend who ordered her eggs over hard. I thought, why
bother? Then I mentioned how I thought eating was an
adventure and I’m always thinking about how to make food
more interesting. She answered, “Life is an adventure.
That’s why I want my food predictable. And there we were
at the intersection of world views on eating. I still
prefer the adventure of dining in the midst of my
adventure of living. Have an awesome day, my friend.
Keep up the good work. You are a great inspiration
Love, K
